Well this ain't no Palm Springs for sure, but we do have our own Wailuku Mid Century Modern aesthetic. You just have to dig a little deeper, and train your eyes to see form through signage, modifications etc. A few days ago, I decided to take a stroll through my very favorite Maui town - in fact, what I consider to be the last authentic town on Maui that has not yet been ravaged by the mentality of "create everything for the tourist". It's none other than Wailuku. I will add to these photos as I discover new hidden Wailuku treasures.
