modern on maui

McClellan Architects, Seattle WA

This kitchen is rocking my world.   On an island where day in and day out I see a hundred different minute variations on what I call the "Home Depot Kitchen"  (dark cabinetry, stainless appliances, unremarkable granite countertops) to suddenly be presented with a symphony of colors and textures in this Wailuku kitchen - well it just makes me beam with happiness.  It's like steeping a cup of hand harvested Na Liko Tea after a month of Lipton.   McClellan Architects are located in Seattle, but have worked on Maui projects including a stately and gorgeous modern house in Wailuku Country Estates.
